Was gonna use an unfinished pic to practice a little bit and kinda got ahead of myself.
My headcanon is that crystal pony flesh isn’t hard and rock-like. It’s more like regular flesh, but infused with crystalline magic. If you hit them, however, the flesh hardens in response (kinda like how a non-newtonian fluid solidifies on impact).
